The American Family Association’s BRYAN FISCHER

The American Family Association‘s Bryan Fischer minced few words when it came to expressing his stance on lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people who seek public office. Fischer, whose anti-LGBT declarations have become a near-weekly staple of his “Focal Point” radio show, took to the airwaves again following news of Texas Governor Rick Perry’s indictment, Right Wing Watch first reported.
Perry was indicted for abuse of power over efforts to force Travis County District Attorney
Rosemary Lehmberg, who is openly gay, to resign from office after a drunk-driving arrest.
Fischer pointed to Lehmberg’s sexuality in his broadcast, noting, “My view of public service is that somebody who is engaged in sexually deviant behavior is not qualified to hold public office.”
Comparing LGBT people both to rapists and pedophiles, he added, “Now lesbianism is sexually deviant behavior because it deviates from God’s plan and design for human sexually. So I believe that this is a person who, because she’s involved in sexually deviant behavior, should be, ought to be disqualified from public service.”
Last month, Fischer slammed LGBT rights advocates as “belligerent” and “intolerant bullies” who represented a “
tiny little minority” of the U.S. population in a broadcast.
He also denounced Burger King’s LGBT-friendly “
Proud Whopper” campaign, arguing that the fast food franchise’s was a “bonehead move from a marketing standpoint.”
“When people sit down to eat a hamburger, the last thing they want to be thinking about is two guys having sex,” Fischer noted at the time.

this guy could win this award pretty much every week …
I mean, he’s like the energizer bunny o’ hate …
he just keeps going … and going … and going … and …
here’s just a couple of his past ‘hits’ …

I am convinced that there is plenty of hatred in the debate over homosexuality, there’s a lot of hatred, there’s a lot of vitriol, there’s a lot of venom – it is coming from homosexuals themselves. The real haters are homosexuals. The real venom is coming from those that support the homosexual agenda, either homosexual activists, homosexuals, or those that support the homosexual agenda. They are the real haters. There is a heterophobic hatred, there is a Christophobic hatred that is just seething, there’s a dark, venomous, demonic hatred that is in the homosexual community.

Fischer said that the ‘Mark of the Beast’ occurs when there is a “demonically controlled government” that prohibits people of faith from buying or selling without a permit.
A&E’s suspension of Phil Robertson fits this definition, according to Fischer. Christians have interpreted Revelation 13:16-18 to mean that there will be a marking of humans, or a “mark of the beast.”
“This is what’s happening to Phil Robertson. He got bounced off his show, which is a source of income for him,” he said. “So his ability to be involved in the commerce that’s connected to that show has been terminated. That is the Mark of the Beast.”

“No evolutionist can be trusted with political power.”

According to Fischer, people who don’t own property are like people who don’t pay taxes: they “have no skin in the game.” He said, “…in the colonial period, you had to be a landowner, a property owner to be eligible to vote, and I don’t think that’s a bad idea.”

“Homosexuals are rarely monogamous and have as many as 300 to 1,000 sexual partners over the course of a lifetime. … [T]he risk of sexual abuse in a homosexual household is much greater than in a heterosexual household.”
– Bryan Fischer Web post, “The Truth about Gay Marriage and Civil Unions,” 2006

“It is time, I suggest, to stop the practice of allowing Muslims to serve in the U.S. military. The reason is simple: the more devout a Muslim is, the more of a threat he is to national security.”
– Bryan Fischer Web post, “No More Muslims in the U.S. Military,” 2009

“Homosexuality gave us Adolph Hitler, and homosexuals in the military gave us the Brown Shirts, the Nazi war machine and six million dead Jews.”
– Bryan Fischer Web post, “Homosexuality, Hitler, and ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,'” 2010

“[T]he most compassionate thing we can do for Americans is to bring a halt to the immigration of Muslims into the U.S. This will protect our national security and preserve our national identity, culture, ideals and values. Muslims, by custom and religion, are simply unwilling to integrate into cultures with Western values and it is folly to pretend otherwise. In fact, they remain dedicated to subjecting all of America to sharia law and are working ceaselessly until that day of Islamic imposition comes.”
– Bryan Fischer Web post, “Time to Restrict Muslim Immigration to the U.S., Send Them Back Home,” 2010

“Many of the tribal reservations today remain mired in poverty and alcoholism because many native [sic] Americans continue to cling to the darkness of indigenous superstition instead of coming into the light of Christianity and assimilating into Christian culture.”
– Bryan Fischer Web post, “Native Americans Morally Disqualified Themselves from the Land,” 2011

“Welfare has destroyed the African-American family by telling young black women that husbands and fathers are unnecessary and obsolete. … We have incentivized fornication rather than marriage, and it’s no wonder we are now awash in the disastrous social consequences of people who rut like rabbits.”
– Bryan Fischer Web post, “Jesus Groomed His Apostles for Political Office,” 2011

  1. Funny that Fischer mentioned Hitler, who actually sent gays to concentration camps along with Jews. Which soulds like exactly what Fischer would’ve done if he had Hitler’s power.
Also, I did not know Lehmberg was openly gay. I thought Perry’s problem with her was that she was openly Democrat and openly investigating Perry for corruption.
