witless shrugged … the more things change … sigh …

paul ryan witless shrugged by hip is everythingIn a move that proves three things once and for all, that 1. Paul Lyin’ Ryan is an empathy free, prevaricating prick, 2. that the GOP NEVER learns, and 3. NEVER has even the slightest fucking concern for “the American people” as they’re so fond of calling them whenever they want their benefactor’s wishes to be fulfilled, the GOP has decided that now is the perfect time to start the whole “our way or the fucking highway” obstructionist shit again …
Same old formula too, wait until the last bloody minute to pass “must pass” legislation, toss in a few poison pill amendments that only benefit the 1% dicks they suck on for their re-election dollars, and then when the Dems or Obama stop the poison pill bill in it’s tracks, jump up and down screaming that it’s all the other guys fault … same old shill for the corporate elite b.s. they’ve been selling for years …
Man, it’s blows my mind how these pricks keep getting elected, even with the gerrymandered districts and voter suppression …

House Republicans are angling to slip two pieces of bank deregulation into a major highway funding bill that is expected to pass with broad bipartisan support.
According to a source familiar with discussions, Republicans are trying to remove tighter regulations that were imposed on banks with at least $50 billion in assets after the 2008 financial crisis. They also are aiming to weaken the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau — a brainchild of Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), which has worked to prevent big banks, payday lenders and other financial firms from ripping off households. The GOP bill, authored by Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer (R-Mo.), wouldn’t just unwind Dodd-Frank’s tougher rules on these banks — it would make it even harder to regulate them than it was during the George W. Bush era.  from huffpo

also, in the d-bag news o’ the day edition …
Newly elected House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) left the door open on Tuesday to allowing controversial riders to be added to a forthcoming budget bill, which could put the government on the path to a shutdown.
Ryan’s predecessor, John Boehner (R-Ohio), crafted a deal on his way out the door that sets spending levels and lifts the debt ceiling, but Congress
still needs to pass an omnibus budget bill to fill out the details of what will be funded.
If House Republicans attach riders to that bill, things could get messy ahead of a Dec. 11 deadline to fund the government. Democrats have vowed to oppose an omnibus with controversial riders attached, such as one pushed by members of the conservative House Freedom Caucus that aims to defund Planned Parenthood. President Barack Obama has also threatened to veto legislation with such provisions attached.  from huffpo
